About MARSDEN BUILD

A build company for people

Aurelia opened in 2018 with one idea: most salons rush you through, and most clients leave wishing they'd been heard. We're slower than that on purpose. Every appointment starts with a real consultation. We ask what you want, what you've tried, what you've hated. Then we build the work.

Six senior staff. Design-build approach — your designer and your project manager are in the same conversation from day one. No "talk to your architect" runaround.

Fixed-price contracts. Progress draws tied to inspector milestones. Two-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer warranties.

worth booking.

Every Aurelia stylist trained in our chair for at least 18 months before working on a paying client. They each have a specialty — ask at booking and we'll match you. Or if you want a generalist, any of them will look after you start to finish.

Do you do design too? +

Yes — design-build is our standard approach. Our designer and project manager work together from the first consultation. No hand-off, no translation losses.

Fixed-price or cost-plus? +

Fixed-price on everything we can scope properly. Cost-plus only when the unknowns are too big to estimate (e.g. heritage homes with hidden conditions).

Are you insured? +

Fully insured — general liability + workers comp + builders risk. Certificate of insurance on every contract.

What warranty do you offer? +

Two-year workmanship warranty on top of manufacturer warranties. Tarion-enrolled for new builds.

Where do you work? +

St Thomas, London, surrounding areas — typically anywhere within a 90-minute drive of our shop. Larger projects elsewhere by quote.
